Password and biometric access lacking

Integration with basic biometric and password management of iOS is quite challenging. It’s one thing to make it difficult for unauthorized persons to access my account, it’s another things to make the process far from frictionless for me as an authorized user of my account.
FaceID rarely seems to work. Integration with iOS Passwords app (presumably 3rd-party password managers too) is not only clunky, it looks kind of creepy and suspicious the way things get all pixelated and slow.
Even when updating passwords, things are very challenging. Lack of integration with iOS password generator is frustrating. I.e., the typical auto-generated string passwords are not short enough for Citi’s system and often use basic characters (like ‘-‘) that aren’t permitted. The short character limit for passwords is basically the antithesis of security. Overall, the authentication support of the app and the Citi Commercial website make the process more difficult than necessary and sort of undermine user confidence in the security of the service provided by this app.
Otherwise, the app is generally usable, albeit somewhat sluggish.

Oddly useless.

So this app is easy to access which is good. I don’t know if it’s the app, the GTC, or way citi does billing but I can rarely reconcile my balance. And I mean I have $7,500 limit and four transactions and can rarely say for certain what’s hit the card or not. I usually see numerous pending transactions that stick around for a week or more. It seems like it takes a while for payments to post so you don’t really know if you have a balance or not. I’ve over paid the card at least three times just to be safe and then had to call and get it wired back- which is relatively easy. All in all, if they just fixed this to make it clear what your balance is it would be a solid app/experience. Until then, it has the appearance of something they get to bill the government far too much for.

Useless app, useless website, useless service

I’ve been trying for the last three months to make a payment on my corporate account. It keeps getting rejected without explanation, and to appearances my bank has never received it. So I call Citi and it takes me solid ten minutes to get through to a human since their voice AI simply will not believe that I need human assistance, and they claim the payments were rejected for insufficient funds. (There is zero chance I didn’t have sufficient funds.) In desperation I finally ask about the most recent payment which I sent yesterday, for which there is no indication in the app or the website, and after reiterating the question three times they finally admit that it was sent even though there’s no way to see that, and I’ll have to come back tomorrow to see whether this one too was rejected with no explanation.

I seriously don’t even have an address where I can send a check!

In the meantime, this is a corporate card and my employer will want to know what’s going on. I had to reassure a half an hour out of my incredibly. I’ve never had such a frustrating experience. Not recommended.
