Too many adverts
It’s a good game with the same gameplay as the original Peggle with the addition of the classic life system that all free to play games have these days. I don’t mind it too much as it means I don’t play for too long in one go. The only thing I hate about the game is the adverts. I made it to around level 40 having only seen 1 ad. Now there seems to be an advert every time you enter or exit a level and also when you lose a life, and it’s the type you’ve got to wait for the timer to go before you can skip it. I can put up with an advert now and again, but too many ads like this is very off-putting. I’m going to give it another 10 levels, but if it doesn’t ease off on the ads then I’ll probably just delete the game
A disgrace with Peggle’s name attached
The original game was incredible; it had a fun concept and an even better execution, but this is awful. The “free to play” element is extremely thin, charging 5 lives at 20 minutes recharge each, losing one life should you fail a level. This merged with some of the levels being unfairly difficult can lead to days upon days of dissatisfaction as you try to complete one level. It’s a completely linear game with a plot shoehorned in to give reason to the single path gameplay. All of this, as well as having ridiculously expensive boosters that you are forced into buying once you get stuck in a loophole of attempting one singular mission, AND the annoying and constant adverts shoved down your gullet as you play, shows how much of a thinly veiled cash grab this game is, putting money over patronage and enjoyability. This game should not be tied to the brilliance that Peggle once was and I am extremely embarrassed for Popcap for making such an unenjoyable, frustrating, money pot of a game. Do not download this, just get the free version of Peggle on steam instead. Do not give money to these finance sucking vampyres.
Boring copy
This game is not good, it really is just at this point where.. Peggle has passed it’s time. It really does not have a fluent feel to it, it’s tried to copy other mobile phone games, like level 57; I’m sure there a few similarities between candy crush for some reason & a lot of these 50 upwards missions.
Honestly the ads are a joke too, you have unlimited lives if you close and reopen the game, the game jitters on a IPhone X.. I genuinely could carry on; such as the ball hitching through some Peggles or clipping through some, actually a common issue that. The games originality is there, which the art style and such, but the level design is genuinely the main faulting factor. Trying to again be like other games, your not paying attention to a lot of features in your own game; like the peacock guy is useless for his missions. The octopus lady is rather underutilised with her map design and power usage..
As said previously I could carry on, but no. I’m uninstalling it, going to my Xbox and gonna play the 360 version.
What a wasted franchise.
